Onew’s parents?…

두부 가족 ^▽^ 아버님도 어머님도 인상이 좋으시네요 ㅋㅋ 순두부가족같습니다

A.N. I found this on Onew Korean Blog

Onew’s love and admiration for his dad <3<3<3

I actually don’t know if I should trust the translation but I can’t see anything bad about it. I’ll just take it out if it’s made up again.

Anyway, this is from a SBS JSH’s radio show

‘Onew mentioned that his father is a person who wakes up at 5AM in the morning to work. He truly respects his dad as he is an honest man. Onew is working hard to learn from his dad but he just couldn’t wake-up at 5AM in the morning daily. DJ commented that while Onew was talking (about his dad)  it feels as if there were 700 white candles lited up and glowing behind his back.’

And that ladies and gentlemen is the reason why Onew turned up to be such an admirable man. And with his mom’s love and support… I don’t know who’s more lucky, his parents for having Onew? or Onew for having such amazing parents. Onew barely talks about his parents but everytime he does, there is no denying on how much he loves them and that he won’t do anything to disappoint them.

Onew no. 3 most polite idol at weekly idol chart 120321

Onew has never been SM’s favorite member. The only reason Onew was able to get into SM was Lee Sooman, he personally casted Onew while all SM casting staff rejected. Lee Sooman btw isn’t too much involved in managing SM anymore since he’s spending more time with his family.
I can’t remember the time SM particularly paid special attention to Onew besides his solo stage in smtown concerts, he’s always been in the dark corner in most of SHINee’s major releases. If you watch SHINee’s first “Star Golden Bell” appearance back in 2008, Onew wasn’t even there. When he did make an appearance he was seated in the far back and gradually made his way towards the front seats over time and found ways to receive attention through his own efforts.
People needs to realize SM has little control over SHINee’s appearance in variety shows, if anyone is planning to say “BUT ONEW APPEARED SO MUCH ON TV SHOWS! WHAT ABOUT ALL THE MUSICALS HE DID! SM CLEARLY FAVORS HIM THIS WAY!” For your information broadcasting stations have far bigger power over companies, they’re well above SM despite them being a very influential k-pop company. It’s the opposite power structure in Japan, but that’s how things go in Korea. Therefore, the reason you see Onew and Minho so much on tv shows in the past, isn’t because SM is giving them opportunities but it was the broadcasting stations’ decision alone.
As for the musical, a staff of the musical company said himself that they wanted Onew in the first place and it wasn’t something pursued by SM.
If Onew’s decrease in singing parts is a result from SM giving equal opportunity on all members, uh yeah that’s a nice way of putting it, but why doesn’t Onew get more center position on stage as a compensation then? Why is he always put in the corner? That’s not truly equal, is it. Let’s face it, the only reason why Onew had so much singing parts in Replay is because Taemin was going through puberty and his voice was changing.
The only thing Onsoonies hope is that SM to at least acknowledge his position as a vocalist, we can care less about Onew not getting enough air time on stage as long as Onew is given the chance to showcase his vocal skills.
And I had someone telling me “at least Onew is still in the band” in response to my complaint on Onew’s not having enough parts – whoever said this, I hope you’re not implying Onew was planning to leave the group because that’s another sick rumor. I’m not going to be grateful over something that wasn’t even close to being true.

Edit: In addition

“Are you sure about LSM personally casted him while he was rejected by others? This is the 1st time i’ve heard of this O_o”

Onew said himself he was casted by Lee Sooman. According to Onew’s ex-vocal coach from SM Academy, he asked the casting staffs to consider Onew into their company but they didn’t want him. Onew was then given chance to perform on SJ’s showcase with two other academy students, LSM saw him there and casted him on the spot.

me sunshineeonew A.N. Who want’s to join me on giving LSM a big hug? Thank You!!! Saranghe!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Wow! On the spot! Don’t mess with the boss!

A.N. This one I’m posting because I agree with her opinion…

Manager Choi Jin used to be a gentle guy when he was working as CSJH the Grace’s manager, he started getting short tempered and aggressive when he was transferred over to SHINee. What made him change, is probably from having to deal with clingy fangirls, which he would have no experience when he was with a girl group. You have to understand, working as a manager for a popular idol is really a tough job, they have to deal with fangirls stampeding over their idols constantly. It was shown how dangerous situations can get in hand, Jonghyun needed a surgery as a consequence of a fan charging at him. CNblue’s manager also had similar controversy as well, idols’ managers losing their temper isn’t something rare in this industry, given how crappy their working environment is.
Violence should never in any case be justified but people need to acknowledge that it’s not always just one sided in this type of matter. It seems the manager has gotten a habit of dealing with aggression from the fans by simply being aggressive in return, which of course is still very wrong but it’s something that you can’t blame him entirely. With no extra bodyguards on his side, 5 boys to protect and a large number of fangirls charging at full speed, to me seem like a bigger threat than a fangirl receiving a shove in her head.
From the short video, I don’t know if the fangirl was imposing threat or not but even if I was to assume that she did, Choi Jin still crossed over the line because that shove was unnecessarily harsh. He was definitely wrong at that moment and SM announced a proper apology, while the fangirl on that video wrote on the Internet that she doesn’t want to make an issue out of it.
Shawols were more angry by non-fans’ reactions because at the time video surfaced, SHINee was in the center of criticism instead of the manager – saying that none of the members showed any reactions, and that they completely ignored what was going on. To me, this is unfair because the video itself is very short so there wasn’t any time to see them to react, but it appeared that way because the whole short clip was very stretched in time. Even if they didn’t react, I can think of an excuse – I heard SM teaches their idols to ignore clingy fans in any situations because giving them any attention will encourage them even more. (this I can’t confirm 100% though)
SHINee now has a different manager and Choi Jin only escorts them in important schedules outside Korea because ironically, he was promoted.
Choi Jin was actually missed by Onsoonies, particularly during his musical activities because the new manager was doing a sloppy job and completely left Onew to be groped and touched by the fans. It could be that the incident with Choi Jin caused the manager to loosen his protection or that’s just his way of doing things. From a fan’s point of view, overprotective Choi Jin is going to be preferred despite his aggressive tendencies because safety of the idol is going to be more important than of a fangirl’s well-being. It’s selfish but that’s just honest way of putting it.
I personally don’t hate on Choi Jin because I know how close Onew is with him, Onew calls him Jinni hyung, and did anyone notice how biased Choi Jin is towards Onew in comparison to other members? After Choi Jin was promoted, he personally came to see Onew in his “Hey Bro” musical several times without the job as a manager. He did escort him out of the theater on the last “Hey Bro” session. From a fan’s account, nobody dared to touch Onew that day because of Choi Jin’s presence.
Yes he’s nasty towards fans but I can’t hate the guy, look how sweet he is towards Onew o(╥﹏╥)o
